Current Trail Conditions – Grooming Report

Wednesday January 21 2026

Waiting to see what the weekend weather brings, hoping for a big dump. If you ride this weekend, bundle up! Key word for the weekend: SURVIVE!! Frosbite is no fun. Pro tip.. if your sled runs, the exhaust is an excellent heat source for cold hands and feet! Just dont melt your gloves and boots.

As of this morning, trails that are open and groomed:

Bear Notch Road, Albany Brook, Upper Haystack, Meadowbrook, Church Pond, Sawyer River, North Fork, Birch Hill.

Trails have thin cover with occasional icy spots, some dirt here and there. Meadowbrook to Sawyer is bony, has waterbars and open water with some ice for an aproximate half mile stretch. If you can tolerate that the riding improves greatly beyond that.See note about Sawyer below..

A couple of notes to begin the season:

Firstly, we have been informed by the owners, that Northern Bites( formerly known as Cabin Fever) Restaurant will not be opening this season.

Secondly, the road closure at Sawyer River road is still in place. No snowmobiles allowed on the lower 2 miles of  Sawyer. It is clearly marked as you approach from the top end of road. The Forest Service takes this closure very seriously, violations carry fines of up to $5000.00

These conditions are profided as apublic service to promote safe, responsible snowmobiling. Any funds raised are used for trail maintenance and club events. Conditions are always subject to change.
